CropScan grain analyser

Next Instruments has developed the new Cropscan 2000S on-line NIR analyser for grain growers, grain processors, flour millers or for anyone blending grains. It consists of a NIR transmission spectrometer with a flow-through sampling system to measure grain taken from an auger, a conveyor belt or a pneumatic pumping system and can be fitted to virtually any grain transport system. Four constituents can be reported simultaneously on the LCD screen or sent back to a PC located up to 100 m away using an RF modem. Alarm levels can be set in the application files so that action can be taken if the protein, moisture or oil falls outside specifications. CropScan 2000S uses the same optics and electronics as its predecessors so that calibrations that have been developed over the last ten years can be used for accurate results. Autocalibration software is built into the system so that the CropScan can be set up against an external reference sample or to the end buyers' laboratory.
