ASD has announced the commercial availability of the QualitySpec 700, a near infrared analyser designed for continuous measurement of solids and blended materials as they are transported on a conveyer belt. It is suitable for a range of industries including forestry products, mining and food processing. Materials measured by the instrument include crushed ore or wood chips while they are on the conveyer belt. This improved visibility to process data enables plant operators to make real-time decisions about the raw materials or a process as they change, rather than waiting for off-line lab results. Full calibration of the analyser for applications can be provided.
