SVP 3+D Scanner

User Rating: / 2
PoorBest

The 3+D Scanner is interfaced to their Dart-SVP open-air ionisation source. The device enables rapid mass spectrometry analysis of chemicals on surfaces such as food, packaging materials, fabrics, consumer products, electrical components and wafers. Automated surface analysis can be accomplished without placing the sample under high vacuum as in traditional surface analysis. The Apple iPod-based controller directs the analysis of the entire surface for uniformity or allows you to choose specific locations, thus enabling rapid characterisation of contaminants with no sample preparation.

5975 LTM GC/MSD

User Rating: / 1
PoorBest

A low thermal mass (LTM) gas chromatography/mass spectrometry detector (GC/MSD), that provides laboratory-quality analysis. The proprietary LTM technology has enabled the 5975T LTM to be smaller, more rugged and to consume less power than in-lab GC/MS instruments, yet capable of the same performance in the field. The LTM technology eliminates the conventional GC oven by wrapping the GC column(s) with a heating element and temperature sensor. This provides rapid heating and cooling of the column for higher throughput.

6150B single quadrupole

User Rating: / 1
PoorBest

A series of single quadrupole LC/MS instruments, the next generation of their workhorse instrument. The 6150B Series LC/MS is well-matched to the latest fast chromatography systems, able to scan at 10,000 amu per second, while maintaining data quality. It is equipped with Agilent Jet Stream Technology, a sample inlet design that uses super-heated sheath gas to focus the ion stream entering the mass spec. The benefit is enhanced sensitivity from a stronger signal with lower relative standard deviation at the limit of detection.

SClips ID software

User Rating: / 1
PoorBest

Improvements to the formula ID for this software package that corrects the instrument line-shape and enables exact isotope modelling when comparing the MS response of an unknown ion against theoretically calculated responses for all possible candidate formulas. The improvements allow for the exclusion of irrational possibilities.

Hapsite ER portable GC/MS

User Rating: / 1
PoorBest

A person-portable GC/MS for on-site investigation and analysis of volatile organic compounds in air, water and oil at ppt levels for most analytes. New features include shorter run time and low consumables usage. Instant air analysis can be conducted using the mass spectrometer only. Various sample inlet options are available for different sample matrices with pre-installed operating methods for each sampling device.

DART Upgrade

User Rating: / 1
PoorBest

Upgraded version of the their original DART source with the addition of their new production SVP Controller which simplifies operation by reducing the parameters needed to set experiments for gas type, gas temperature and ion polarity and Green Technology cartridge, which enables efficient DART ionisation with nitrogen, rather than helium, for lower operating cost.

SpectroElectroChemical cell

User Rating: / 1
PoorBest

Based on an OTTLE (Optically Transparent Thin Layer Electrode) concept. This has particular application for monitoring redox-coupled reactions, to allow in situ spectroscopic analysis of electro-generated intermediates or products. Compatible with Specac's Variable Temperature Cell, Water Heating Jacket and standard Cell Holder, to allow operation over the temperature range –50°C to 50°C.
