CBS 102

The latest edition of the CAM AG Bibliography Service, CBS 102, is now available from their UK distributor Omicrom Research. This latest issue features CAM AG's new TLC-MS interface, showing how its semi-automatic design can aid the identification of unknown substances by extracting compounds from a TLC/HPLC plate and feeding them into a mass spectrometer for substance identification of structure elucidation. Botanical slimming products come under investigation using HPTLC methods, revealing the extent to which Hoodia Gordinii is misrepresented in product labelling. Studies of nature continue with HPTLC analysis of natural sponges and the world's oldest tree species, Ginko Bibba, for their pharmacobiological properties.
