30 mL ICP calibration standards

8 May 2017

Inorganic Ventures now offers custom ICP and IC calibration standards in smaller, 30 mL volumes. They have up to a three-year shelf life in sealed transpiration control technology bag. The smaller volumes offer total cost savings, ship as non-hazardous, produce less lab waste, enable simplified inventory management and increase confidence by reducing the likelihood of contamination.

Petra Max

Announcement of an elemental analyser for petroleum that can measure sulphur from 17 ppm to wt% with rapid monitoring of critical elements like Ni, V and Fe at sub-ppm levels. It uses high definition X-ray fluorescence, which enables higher signal-to-noise background ratio that enhances elemental detection limits and precision for hydrocarbons such as crude oil, diesel, jet fuel and lubricants.

Sindie +Cl

3 May 2017

Can provide trace analysis of both sulphur and chlorine with one push of a button. Both elements can be measured in one sample, or each measured separately by inserting a new sample. Can measure a broad range of liquid samples from aqueous solutions to heavy hydrocarbons without the need for dilution, combustion gases or the need to change detectors, boats, injectors, furnaces etc. Based on monochromatic wavelength dispersive X-ray fluorescence, and using doubly curved crystal optics which provide high sensitivity and precision.

ARL Quant’X EDXRF

3 May 2017

Up to four times more sensitive than the previous version, covering all elements from fluorine to uranium, and with increased sensitivity and flexibility to determine the elemental composition of a sample. It incorporates a 50 W X-ray tube and latest generation silicon drift detector. A large sample chamber can accept irregularly shaped samples from 0.5 cm to 40 cm in length and up to 5 cm in height, or, with an optional sample chamber extension, up to 30 × 40 × 36 cm.

Vanta handheld XRF

3 May 2017

Incorporating Olympus’ new Axon technology that uses low-noise electronics to produce higher X-ray counts per second and repeatability. Versions are available that are IP65 rated for protection against dust and water and drop tested to military standards. There is an intuitive interface with a responsive touch screen and customisable home page. There is also optional Wi-Fi and Bluetooth connectivity.

LeDoser

3 May 2017

Designed to weigh and dispense borate flux for the preparation of glass disks for XRF and solutions for ICP. There are three different weighing modes and the smart flux flow software make the system adaptable to the user’s needs. The system is easy to use with an intuitive touchscreen interface and one-touch operation. No training is required nor are calculations required to determine flux weight in relation to sample quantity.

70 mm² FAST SDD Detector

3 May 2017

The 70 mm2 SDD has triple the count rate of a 25 mm2 SDD with the same performance. It is available in the same TO-8 package used with all Amptek detectors, making it a drop-in replacement. Other features include 123 eV FWHM resolution at 5.9 keV, count rates >2,000,000 cps and peak-to-background ratio of 26,000 : 1. It can be used in ultra-fast benchtop and handheld XRF analysers, in an EDS system, for on-line process control and in X-ray sorting machines.

Ocean FX

3 May 2017

New miniature UV/vis spectrometer with high-sensitivity CMOS detector, acquisition speed up to 3000 scans s–1 and Ethernet and Wi-Fi communications. Wavelength range is configurable within 200–1100 nm An onboard buffer holds up to 50,000 spectra which prevents data loss during kinetics experiments.

TrueSurface

3 May 2017

Next generation of WITec’s optical profilometer which has improvements in ease of use, accelerated workflow and methodological advantages. TrueSurface ensures that Raman spectra are acquired precisely along a surface or at a set, user-defined, distance from a surface.
